    Position summary

    all RF communications, satellite communications, IP networking, System Administration, and cryptographic configurations to support a critical ISR project.

    THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

    • Install, configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and manage HF, UHF, SATCOM, radio communications suites and associated network and cryptographic equipment deployed.

    • Install, configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and manage multiple sensor suites, networks, and accounts.

    • Design, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot internal and external networks to the enclave to include encryptors and firewalls.

    • Assist tech lead with tracking system requirements, development efforts and assist with continued engineering of system upgrades/improvements.

    • Report directly to the Technical and Site Lead; interact with operators, users, and military personnel in the delivery of communications services.

    • Maintain systems and develop preventive maintenance schedules and conduct periodic preventive maintenance.

    • Additional duties as needed may include; maintaining computer IT systems, routers, switches, cabling, desktop hardware, supporting VSAT systems and phones, creating outage reports, routine event logs, installation of large satellite antenna systems.

    WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

    • Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years engineering experience in one of these areas Networking, VMware, or Microsoft servers. Additional 4 years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree.

    • Security+ certification required. VCP, CCNA, or MSCE preferred.

    • Ability to identify issues and research fixes.

    • Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.

    • Be able to obtain a passport or visa to travel internationally.

    • Be willing to travel CONUS or OCONUS.

    • Be willing to work in Hardship and Hazardous locations.

    • Be willing to work long hours and/or non-regular hours with minimal notice.

    • Must be able to successfully accomplish the CONUS Replacement Center course which requires a successful deployment physical, immunizations, and training.

    • Must be US Citizen.

    • Must have ACTIVE DoD Top Secret security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with HF/VHF/UHF/SHF radio systems (KOR 24A, PRC 117 series, Vortex, ARC-231 a plus), SATCOM equipment, radio networks (HPW, Link-11, Link -16, BFT/FBCB2), cryptographic equipment, keying data transfer devices (DTD's), RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers), basic electronic principles, a firm knowledge of networking equipment, IP networking and sub-netting is required. A firm knowledge on multicast and tunneling a plus

    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
