Description

As a Program Support Specialist for Department of Justice (DOJ) contracts, the candidate will work with the Project Supervisor and a Team Lead through administration, coordination, and customer service oriented tasks, as assigned. The successful candidate will work in a fast paced environment that requires team interaction, excellent communication and strong social skills. While most of the work is carried out within a team environment, the candidate may be called upon to assist other members of the team, and at other times work alone on complex projects/tasks and assignments.
Primary Tasks:
Under the guidance of a Team Lead, the Program Support Specialist will be the point of contact for the OJP Solicitation manager and coordinate all aspects of the review according to the established peer review schedule and deliverables. Duties include tracking and disseminating deliverables and reports in accordance with schedules and milestones, coordinating and scheduling orientation calls with the DOJ customer and their staff, and answering questions from the customer and reviewers.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Interfacing with DOJ staff to coordinate, schedule, and manage peer review activities.
Assisting with the general PJP Peer Reviewer email box queries, nominate reviewers to the Peer Review Database.
Serving as Point of contact and engaging with subject matter experts – providing assignments, conveying the schedule(s) and deliverables, creating and delivering required forms, monitoring completion forms, coordinating consensus calls with staff and reviewers, and providing customer service and monitoring work activities.
Perform other peer review related tasks such as reviewer searches in the Peer Reviewer Database, initial interest outreach to approved reviewers, and perform Basic Minimum Requirements screening (BMR).
Contribute to various auditing tasks (e.g. self-audits; A-123 internal audits; upload audits).
Participating in regular process improvement and quality initiatives and other projects/tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Expected Skills):
Demonstrated customer service in a high volume, deadline focused environment.
Strong written, and oral communication skills that translate in a proficient and professional manner with employees/clients/customers.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective judgement concerning confidential or delicate information.
Ability to work objectively, as a self-starter, and within short timeframes.
Excellent interaction skills.
Flexibility and the ability to manage shifting schedules and priorities.
Strong computer, Microsoft Office Suite skills (especially Excel and Word).
Ability to obtain public trust designation.
Required: Bachelors and more than three years of prior grants management/peer review OR other relevant background, OR Masters with less than two years of prior relevant work history. An Associates with more than two years of relevant peer review/grants management work history may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills):
Education and or background in the criminal justice field or related discipline.
Background in Federal grants management / peer review process.
Pay Range $53,300.00 - $82,000.00 - $110,700.00
