The position will also be customer facing and represent the program in the absence of the program manager.

Primary Responsibilities
The Senior Project Engineer - Optomechanical Lead will have a key impact on program execution across the WFOV portfolio and will:
Weekly Program Management Reviews (PMRs)
Weekly senior management meetings
Monthly internal and external programmatic reviews
Customer IPT meetings
Tracking and providing status of internal and external action items
Performing supply chain vulnerability assessments on purchased parts and raw material needed for the program
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of twelve (12) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and ten (10) years of direct engineering experience
In-depth understanding of optomechanical systems
Leading a large and diverse team including suppliers and subcontractors
Disciplined metric-driven program management
Proven experience managing to and meeting tight schedules
Cost estimating and Budget management
Effective communication of information between various functional disciplines as well as strong briefing skills with senior customer and corporate
Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
Strong understanding of hardware development, manufacturing, procurement, production, and integration
Proven leadership skills including working in a team environment, fostering communication, listening to teammate concerns and reconciling internal issues or differences
Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions
Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability
Experience with supply chain management and ability to work with suppliers to help them meet both hardware and non-hardware deliverable requirements
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting a multi-year development/production program valuing more than $100M
Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent
Exposure or general knowledge of Earned Value Management
Experience with utilizing digital engineering tools for program management such as Jira

Pay Range:
Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
