Human Systems Integration (HSI) strategies are implemented to inform HMTA and efficiently support the CLDP. The CLDP HMTA Support Team Lead ensures processes and data management strategies are developed and implemented to facilitate HSI at the Programmatic and Project level. The CLDP HMTA Support Team Lead will monitor how well HMTA requirements are met, ensure that issues of unmet or under met requirements are documented, communicate the status of these issues to the Commercial LEO Chief Health and Performance officer (CHPO), and prepare materials for communicating awareness or escalating issues as needed. The position will interface with HMTA and HHP management as well as with CLDP personnel. Lessons learned while providing support to CLDP will be leveraged to improve HMTA standards and strategic.
US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency and the ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance are required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and task management for the HHPC CLDP HMTA Support team of Requirement Integrators, Provider Leads, and HSI Lead
Onboard/train new team members and facilitate ongoing training/development opportunities for the team, including management of training materials
Coordinate with CLDP HMTA management and HSI Discipline Lead
Develop and integrate HMTA/HHP programmatic and technical risks
Provide technical recommendations related to HMTA requirements and HSI best practices
Provide insight to compliance with HMTA mandatory standards as well as inform HMTA decisions
Coordinate with CLDP personnel as needed
Provide technical review and input into CLDP document and design reviews, develop corresponding summary assessments, and follow up on resulting actions
Provide technical review and input to HHPC Commercial LEO support team products
Manage the development and implementation of team processes to support CLDP Milestones, team tasks, and actions
Participate in development of position papers, presentations, and/or requirements interpretations for HMTA issues
Participate in HMTA meetings, CLDP Boards, Panels, and Working Group meetings, HHP meetings, and internal team meetings; develop and deliver presentations as necessary
Provide inputs to monthly technical, cost, and schedule reports and estimates
Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan
Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies, and procedures
Ability to travel to domestic locations for up to 1-week duration
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in related field (e.g. systems engineering, biomedical engineering, human systems integration, biomedical science, industrial engineering) and 5+ years experience.
Demonstrated leadership experience, which includes working with multi-disciplined teams and customers at all levels
Ability to work independently in a team environment and manage the task assignments for the team
Individual who collaborates effectively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including delivering presentations and writing reports
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with NASA Human Spaceflight Programs, human system requirements and verification in human spaceflight vehicle design, and/or with NASA Technical Authority
Experience working with a commercial program at NASA
Knowledge of Systems Engineering & Integration and of disciplines within human health and performance
Previous experience with requirements development and requirements compliance
Demonstrated experience with human factors activities such as human-in-the-loop tests and task analyses
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., NASA-STD-3001) for human space

Pay Range:
Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
