Description
Leidos has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Systems Administrator to work independently with minimal supervision providing systems administration for the Infrastructure and Deactivation & Remediation contractors at the DOE Portsmouth (Piketon, Ohio) site. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of VMware products including Horizon View, vCenter, and vSphere among others. This entry level position will be expected to learn and become a valuable member of the team supporting various technologies.

The Ideal Candidate will:
Assist in System Administration of primary VMware and Microsoft platforms across the site, among other technologies
Manage and support various components of the technical infrastructure including Active Directory, system updates and patching, technical changes and administration of various IT systems.
Provide support to End User support and other staff in resolution of more complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access.
Analyze and resolve hardware and software problems for end users, with primary emphasis on server-related issues.
Provide troubleshooting support for IT staff.
Support Cyber Security compliance and audit preparation in coordination with the Cyber Security Team.
Consult with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into both operational and project objectives.
Remain conversant with the industry’s computer security technology and practices with technical skills and applicable experience with related technologies.
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Familiarity in the following technologies:
VMWare infrastructure products;
Windows Server, Windows 10/11 and/or Linux
Microsoft SCCM
Microsoft 365
Active Directory; DNS, DHCP;
Basic networking
DOE site experience
Active DOE Q clearance
Related industry-recognized certifications MCP, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, Network+ and/or VMware preferred.
Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00
