Description
Leidos is seeking a System Administrator to be part of a team responsible for the implementation of quick turnaround desktop, video, and voice hardware and software requirements. The position requires excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. The candidate must be able to work in a high-energy environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
Must possess the ability to coordinate multiple engineering projects simultaneously
Perform technical assessment of customer defined requirements
Design and develop technical modifications or reconfigurations interfacing with customers and members of the technical team
Perform switch port analysis availability and enable port(s) following all port security protocols
Perform optimization and maintenance of workstations and virtual environments
Provide updates to engineering designs and technical documentation
Support site expansions working collaboratively with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to adding new desktop equipment or perform recaps/upgrades to existing equipment
Review technical design documentation in order to integrate new equipment for site expansions
Conduct a technical site survey in order to assess site expansion needs and implement the optimal technical solution
Review the current site network infrastructure baseline in order to proactively verify feasibility of expansion requirements
Ensure adherence to project procedures and security guidelines when providing remote and site support services to external partners
Develop and implement system repeatable installation and test procedures
Secondary Responsibilities:
Address and resolve technical problems of moderate complexity relating to the installation of hardware, peripheral devices, and network connectivity
Responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of desktop and peripheral hardware devices consisting of workstations, monitors, VoIP phones, printers, and desktop video teleconferencing equipment both on-site and off-site customer locations
Perform software installations and troubleshoot issues
Perform de-installation of equipment / decommission site services
Hands-on experience with physical network cable installation and management
Travel: May require occasional travel throughout the WMA or continental U.S.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires BS degree and must have at least 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience or 12 years of experience in lieu of degree
Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance w/Poly to be considered
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Effectively complete engineering projects with nominal direction
Day-to-day fluency using Microsoft Active Directory to manage policies and user objects
Experience troubleshooting, administering, and using Microsoft Windows Enterprise 10 (imaging and basic configurations)

Preferred Qualifications:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00
