    Leidos’s Defense Group, Enterprise & Cyber Solutions team currently has an opening for a Systems Architect.

    Job Description
    Leidos’s Defense Group, Enterprise & Cyber Solutions team currently has an opening for a Systems Architect with experience architecting and implementing enterprise IT systems. You will work with our team of engineers, developers and data scientists to architect and design IT solutions at enterprise scale solving some of the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD’s) biggest problems. This is a senior level technical position that will lead the data solution development for our largest and most strategic new and existing clients. You will also coordinate closely with business development, internal research & development (IRAD) and other subject matter expert (SME) staff to support new business development, including pre-proposal capture support and proposal development. Candidates should either possess or be capable of obtaining a DoD Clearance at the Secret level.

    Primary Responsibilities
    •Provide technical leadership and direction for the execution of DoD IT new business during the capture phase, through proposal development and into program startup upon award.
    •Lead solution architecture definition of complete enterprise IT solutions covering the lifecycle from early CONOPS, to requirements, design, deployment and sustainment.
    •Partner with the business development team in supporting the shaping and development of technical solutions, basis of estimates, and industry relationships via responses to RFPs, new business reviews, white papers and customer shaping calls.
    •Key activities for this role will include requirement definition, architecture development, analysis of alternatives / trade-off studies, technical planning, and design.
    •Engage with IRAD teams, internal Digital Modernization Accelerator staff and strategic partners to provide differentiated solutions for current and future customers.
    •Analyze and describe AS-IS system CONOPS, IT processes, and functional and technical architectures.
    •Develop TO-BE solutions, including CONOPS, operational, functional, physical, technical and data views.
    •Prepare for and lead technical readiness reviews.
    •Author white papers, prepare technical demonstrations, and deliver capability briefings to potential customers.
    •Lead development of written and oral technical proposals, to include support for internal reviews and adjudication of feedback.
    •Produce technical roadmaps that advance the technical baseline and address both the technical and the business factors.
    •Lead engineering assessments and recommendations for selection of investments for a range of COTS solutions across various vendor offerings.
    •Provide options with recommendations for integrating vendor solutions for enterprises and strategies for technical refresh and deployment into the enterprise.

    Basic Qualifications
    •BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
    •3+ years of experience supervising or leading technical projects and teams
    •Broad knowledge with experience planning, designing and integrating enterprise IT systems and technologies, including end user devices, compute & store, networking, storage, and application and database integration
    •Demonstrated experience performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, concept development, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and verification & validation
    •Experience planning IT system implementations to include deployment of systems / subsystems across multiple locations
    •Knowledge and experience performing specialty engineering for enterprise IT systems, including continuity of operations (COOP) and disaster recovery, reliability, maintainability, growth & obsolescence and testability
    •Knowledge and ability to implement technical configuration management and change management processes
    •Ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
    •Experience and ability to successfully negotiate and influence others to understand and accept new concepts, practices and approaches
    •Experience estimating all technical and operations labor and material costs
    •Experience identifying and assessing business impacts to proposed changes to a largely technical solution or enterprise operations
    •Excellent written and oral communication capability

    Preferred Qualifications
    •Experience architecting enterprise IT solutions for U.S. federal government agencies
    •Architecture Framework knowledge and certification
    •ITIL foundations certification with Enterprise IT experience using ITIL 4
    •Experience developing strategic roadmaps for IT services and providing technical oversight to ensure developed solutions, satisfy customer and business requirements
     

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
