    Position summary

    The Technical Director will guide SAs to develop comprehensive technical plans to address capture schedule, technical staff needed, processes employed, new and emerging technology, standard and emerging business models, training, and Operations and Maintenance. Additionally, the Technical Director will participate in formal capture process as a "hands on" performing SA, as well as support the direction of staff spread across multiple concurrent captures. The director will lead reviews to assess the state of a capture and provide recommendations for improvement throughout the lifecycle of the capture. The director will work closely with the extended OOT team including CTOs and Leidos Research and Development teams as we collaborate to produce winning proposals.

    Basic Qualifications
    • Masters degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
    • Possess 10+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or project teams.
    • 5+ years of experience supervising technical teams as a manager
    • Extensive experience leading network solutions to include producing proposal subsections of technical response as well as associated elements of cost, such as the Labor Basis of Estimate and the Bill of Materials and the risk associate with the solution.
    • Experience writing Technical Proposal sections and credibly injecting strengths into the response.
    • Possesses broad IT Knowledge base with key IT technologies
    • Understanding of S/W development methodologies as they apply to contemporary networks
    • Excellent written and oral communication capability, including the ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
    • Experience and ability to successfully negotiate and influence others to understand and accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
    • Estimation expertise obtained by estimating projects and completing projects on programs as well as in a capture environment
    • Experience identifying and assessing business impacts to proposed changes to a largely technical solution or enterprise operations.
    • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Systems engineering experience
    • Experience as a Network Engineering Manager
    • Experience with Cloud Service Provider FEDRAMP Plus Impact Level 4, 5 and 6 controls
    • Experience interacting with major Network Product Vendors, CSPs and Compute and Storage Product Vendors.
    • Extensive experience planning competitive new business pursuits for bids greater than $250M.
    • Preference for candidate to reside and telecommute from the Greater Washington Metro Area

    Pay Range:
    Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
