Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain, secure, support, and upgrade Windows servers/desktops to include Domain Controllers, Active Directory/DNS/DHCP Servers, Exchange Servers, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), SQL Servers, Microsoft Clustering, Microsoft Database Availability Groups (DAGs), Microsoft Group Policy, Virtualization, Desktop Management, Host Based Security Systems (HBSS), and Internet Information Services (IIS).
Install, build, rebuild, configure, maintain, secure, document and administer Windows Server Systems, VMware Infrastructure, applications, databases, system related products, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
Support daily operations, monitoring, problem identification/resolution of server/systems, applications, operating systems.
Provide system administration support in terms of installing, configuring, maintaining security, installing patches.
Identify, troubleshoot and make recommendations to resolve system and application related incidents detected during monitoring.
Maintain security documentation for servers, desktops, applications, VMware infrastructure and databases and ensuring all systems maintain compliant to current security policies
Up to 10% travel may be required within the local DMV area.
Basic Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior work experience or a Master's with 6+ years of prior work experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher, or the ability to obtain within 30 days from offer of acceptance.
Active Windows Certification, or the ability to obtain within 30 days from offer of acceptance.
4+ years administration experience with Windows Server administration to include Domain Controllers, Active Directory/DNS/DHCP Servers, Exchange Servers and SQL Servers.
Proficiency in the following technologies:, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), , Microsoft Clustering, Microsoft Database Availability Groups (DAGs), Microsoft Group Policy, Virtualization, Desktop Management and Host Based Security Systems (HBSS).
Familiarity with operating High Availability servers in a VMWare Virtual Environment.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
