Description
Responsible for the general day to day running of the Welding Bay Including:
Ordering the correct materials and quantity from the drawings.
Ensure component inspection is carried out and take an active role in the quality of Leidos products produced.
Producing jigs, fixtures and tooling methods to ensure safe, cost efficient production of components.
Ordering Gas and other consumables required for welding.
To clock in/out and fill in time cards correctly.
Promote safe and efficient systems, assembly and production.
Provide your own tools and ensure they are serviceable at all times.
Communicate to the Team Leader, Assembly Manager or Workshop Manager giving feedback. on all aspects that would affect completion and/or quality of our product.
Assist in inspections of products if required.
Positively promote the best interests of Leidos Industrial Engineers at all times.
Other Functions
● Housekeeping (clean, efficient and safe work place).
● Assist in the loading/unloading of delivery vehicles.
● Ensure your working area within the Workshop is kept clean and tidy.
