About the team
Lenovo's Advanced Delivery Team specializes in delivering and maintaining Device as a Service (DaaS) and other Managed Services Contracts. Our Transition Management Office ensures seamless transitions from initial sales to recurring Lenovo Managed Services or DaaS solutions. We engage with customers immediately upon contract signing, working closely with internal teams to transition people, processes, and tools effectively.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Americas Regional Lead, the Team Manager will lead a subset of regional transition resources and oversee transition programs as needed. This role is critical in ensuring smooth customer transitions from Current Mode of Operation (CMO) to the contracted future state. The Team Manager will coordinate and report on all regional transition activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and mentor the regional transition team, ensuring all transition activities meet governance and documentation standards.
Provide oversight on regional projects, serving as the project lead on large-scale implementations.
Conduct resource planning to support both pre-sales and active transition engagements.
Ensure all projects within the program portfolio are executed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of both internal and external stakeholders.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with an IT focus.
8+ years of progressive experience in information technology and business environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of Transition Management principles and best practices.
Proven ability to lead teams in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
Experience acting as a liaison between business and IT stakeholders, with strong communication skills to engage both groups effectively.
Extensive experience in full life-cycle project management, from requirements gathering through to roll-out.
Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills with a focus on delivering large-scale projects.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Project, Visio, and Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a virtual team across different cultures, time zones, and reporting lines.
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
External project management certification (e.g., PMP from PMI) preferred.
ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus.
