Position summary

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a UX Designer who loves empathising with users through a Design Thinking approach and designing beautiful digital products and delightful user experiences.

You will be part of a global UX organisation made up of almost 100 UX Designer, Visual Designers and Researchers. You will have the opportunity to grow into an individual contributor’s path or line management, which ever you are most passionate about.

In 2022 we are designing new experiences, features and products, this is a fantastic opportunity to drive your solutions end-to-end working alongside our in-house team of Visual Designers, UX Designers, Researchers, Product Managers and Developers to ensure that delightful experiences are being delivered to our users.

You will be working in your own agile team, but don’t worry you’re not alone! The other Designers in the team are there to collaborate, guide and mentor you. There are also juniors in the team who are eager to learn from you, so there is a lot of collaboration opportunity and growth.

We truly believe in career progression and therefore have a very clearly defined career path that covers UX Designers, Visual Designers and Researchers. The career path allows people to progress in their careers whether they are interested in people managing or want to continue to grow as an individual contributor.

Your mental health and wellbeing are very important and we try to do all we can to support our teams. We understand everyone’s needs differ and therefore this role is open to being fully remote, Hybrid or fully office based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with your Agile team to spend the time in discovery to uncover what problems we should be solving for our users.
  • To lead and facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to define problems and ideate together.
  • To lead the user experience to a delightful experience that solves the user problems identified.
  • Collaborating with engineers to ensure the highest quality is iteratively released in our products.
  • To be the champion of the user within your Agile team and the organisation.
  • Collaborating with the rest of your UX team to continuously learn, teach and evolve our ways of working.
  • Be a leader for the more junior users designers in the team.
  • Collaborate with the other Designers in Design Pairing sessions and Design Critique’s.
  • Advocate for the user and ensure there is a shared understanding of the problems we are solving
  • Proactively leverage quantitative and qualitative data to take an evidence-based approach
  • Work in an workplace that is focussed on outcomes, which will require you to work with your Agile to develop OKRs, monitor your progress and raise if we learn something that means we should pivot.
  • Is able to effectively lead the creation of wireframes, prototypes, design concepts, style guides, design patterns, and high-resolution artefacts to be used in final implementation
  • Can actively mentor product and technology in understanding the User-Centered design process

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent
  • Portfolio demonstrating a history of creating intuitive and simple customer-focused design

Key Skills Preferred:

  • Experience designing at a B2B company.
  • Experience working within an agile environment.
  • An understanding of a Design Thinking approach and putting it into practice when solving problems.
  • Experience with analytics, data visualisations and responsive design.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
