Warehouse Associate, Days, Distribution Center Associate - Ennis, TX.

Position Description:

The purpose of this position is to receive (and put away), pick (order-fill), and ship product within a flatbed distribution center (FDC). With the majority of inventory residing outside, the team member must work throughout the year in all types of weather. The Operations Team Member is responsible for maintaining quality by properly and safely handling the product using customer focused distribution. The activities performed by a Team Member are instrumental in a facility achieving or exceeding key performance indicator metrics.

Job Requirements:

Work safely while performing tasks and while using equipment (e.g., use proper lifting techniques for handling product, warn team members when moving into high traffic path or maintain safety zone around equipment)
Handle product accurately and efficiently while receiving, putting away, picking and shipping product in order to contribute to achieving or exceeding demand turn targets for the facility
Perform tasks in other areas as assigned by the Operations Coach (Receiving, Order-fill (Picking), or Shipping)
Perform tasks to achieve inventory accuracy and quality targets while implementing customerfocused distribution
Achieve or exceed personal performance targets by performing assigned tasks efficiently and effectively
Perform safety inspection of equipment prior to use

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend and participate in required LLC training programs; become certified
Learn and demonstrate skill on new equipment; become certified
Learn new skills and become certified in multiple areas in order to rotate within the facility

Minimum Qualifications:

Basic math and reading comprehension
Demonstrated adherence to safety requirements
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
Demonstrated track record of good attendance
Approaches change optimistically; adapts quickly and maintains proficiency in changing work environments
Communicates and listens effectively
Can perform detail-oriented tasks and make sound decisions in a stressful, fast-paced working environment
Able to read and follow instructions and take directions from others
Ability to work independently as well as with a diverse team; contributes effectively to a team effort

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Familiarity with distribution center operations; previous warehouse experience
Previous power equipment experience (e.g., forklift, yard truck)
Basic computer skills
