Maintain appropriate supporting documents, provisions, and other details for returns, payments, accounting transactions and entries for future audit purposes.
Communicate effectively within the team, across other functions, and with external parties to ensure alignment
Work with applications to handle large amounts of data and analyze and review prior to return preparation.
Review job procedures consistently to identify potential improvements that will increase the accuracy and efficiency of all assigned tasks
Perform analysis (i.e. historical, forecasting, impact, etc.) and reconciliations to support monthly, quarterly, or annual closing cycles according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations, with review from senior roles where needed
Performs data retrieval and analysis to prepare account reconciliations and process data to prepare for the next period filing.
Provide excellent customer service via phone and email relating to sales and use tax matters for stores and other locations when necessary.
Collaborate on special projects and resolution of non-reoccurring complex issues within the respective area to deliver optimal solutions to financial issues.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting or related field
Experience with Microsoft office programs (Excel, Word, Access)
Preferred Qualifications:
Sales and use tax return experience
Alteryx experience
