Support senior designers by exploring innovation and ideating on new concepts.
Engage in prototyping, evaluation, testing, and works with vendors to refine prototypes to ensure targeted solution set is desirable and feasible.
Create effective 2D control drawing, 3D CAD and tech pack that directs manufacturing vendors to correctly produce designs.
Drive an iterative approach to prototyping, evaluation, testing, and refinement to ensure targeted solution set is desirable, feasible, and viable.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging materials, technologies, and competitors
Create insights about new design solutions and shares the details with senior designers to ensure product designs are meeting or exceeding industry expectations.
Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external product teams to ensure design vision, intent, and engagement is maintained.
Attend design meetings and provides design input and feedback on product and projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in industrial design or a related field (e.g., Product Design, Human-Centered Design).
3+ years' experience in industrial design or product design environment
2+ years' experience leading product design and development programs
Experience prototyping products to varying levels of complexity.
Experience designing mass market consumer products preferably in high volume production.
Experience in industrial design software with proficiency in relevant sketching, modeling and rendering software (Adobe Creative Suite, Solidworks, Keyshot)
Experience with demonstrated success leading progressively more complex product design programs from concept through production.
Preferred Skills/Education
Experience with demonstrated success in leading multiple product design programs from concept through production.
