    Lucid Motors is looking for a highly motivated Manufacturing Controls Engineer to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment where you will work with highly motivated teams that are dedicated to world-class quality standards on extremely challenging projects.

    You Will:

    • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering Project Managers on all controls related matters on new equipment development projects to ensure alignment of schedule and resources.
    • Interface with controls engineers at equipment suppliers to ensure compliance with Lucid controls standards and project execution methodology.  
    • Work closely with the Powertrain launch team to plan resource allocation, review project progress, evaluate supplier performance, refine standards, and identify opportunities to adopt new technologies and components.
    • Assist equipment suppliers in choosing correct technologies for applications and implementing them effectively. 
    • Work cross-functionally with all disciplines involved in specifying and engineering equipment.
    • Work collaboratively with project team on all stages of equipment development from conception to launch. 

    You Bring:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer engineering or related field 
    • Hands-on experience with PLCs, Drives, Industrial Robots, HMI/SCADA software (Ignition preferred).
    • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and standards such as Ethernet/IP, IO Link and OPC-UA 
    • Knowledge of equipment safety standards such as ISO 13849 (ANSI B11.19), ISO 10218 (ANSI/RIA R15.06) and familiarity with commonly used safety system components such as light curtains, area scanners, guard locking devices, etc. 
    • Understanding of electrical code and standards including NEC, NFPA-79, UL508 
    • Experience in startup and commissioning of equipment controls including installation checks, IO checks, device functionality checks, and verification of automated sequences. 
    • Excellent organization skills - documenting meeting minutes, creating task lists, creating schedules, running team meetings, following up diligently with team members and suppliers on due dates and progress.
    • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company. 
    • Working knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD and CATIA. 
    • 1-3 years of experience in a Controls Engineering role.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
