Lucid is looking for a talented and motivated Engineering and Manufacturing Tools Support Specialist. This person who fills this role will support Lucid with manufacturing and engineering software tools expertise, identify business process gaps, engage with engineering and manufacturing customers, and implement efficient and effective solutions.

The ideal candidate exhibits a proactive and collaborative attitude with an appreciation for learning and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly, and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

•Provides training with and assistance for the use of processes and tools 

•Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to understand functional requirements for CAD, PLM and digital factory tools 

•Work with IT/software providers to understand the software capabilities/limitations of the current toolsets including CAD/CAM/ERP/MES/PLM

•Support enterprise integrations between PLM, ERP, and MES 

•Serve as level-one contact for customer support regarding technical issues, monitoring of defects, documentation of problems and root cause analysis thru confirmation and validation of solutions. 

•Creation of documentation for issue resolution and growing the corporate knowledge bank

•Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and process planning (PLM tools, CAD design processes, production, planning and simulation)

•Develop, documents, implement and provide consultation on the application of, and ensures compliance with, requirements for use of engineering tools, manufacturing tools, processes, and standards

Qualifications:

•3 years’ experience in a similar role

•Automotive industry experience preferred

•Minimum of 1 years’ experience in CAD / PLM suite of tools

Knowledge of Engineering Software Tools:

Required:

•3DExperience (DELMIA, ENOVIA, CATIA preferred)

•Understanding of Manufacturing Approaches and Challenges

•Basic knowledge and awareness of ERP and MES systems

Advantageous:

•Scripting / programming skills preferred (VBScript, Python, C++, etc.)

•Effective communication skills for one-on-one support and presentation to groups

•Comfortable with developing and maintaining mid-management and user level relationships

•Collaborative and problem-solving mindset

Education:

•BS Engineering or related degree
