We are currently seeking an Infotainment Software Engineering.  This position requires an experienced professional with a basic understanding of computer programming and user interfacing development. As well as a passion for working on EV’s. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. 

Role/Responsibilities:

• Participation in developing applications through coding and programming
• Learn and contribute to bugging and testing code 
• Prepare technical documentation that supports and tests software applications 
• Researching, investigating and fixing a wide range of technical issues 
• Collaborating with other software engineers on the team 
• Contributing to arising problems and creating solutions for them 
• Proactively learning about new technologies 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Unity or other engines 
• Experience with C++ programming 
• Understanding of UI development 
• Experience with object-oriented programming 

Nice to have:

• Experience using QT, QML or DirectX 
• Exposure to QT3D or 3D to build up an infrastructure 
• Understanding of open GL for graphic programming 
• Experience working on any gaming programming projects 
• Exposure to open-source coding

Education:

• Field(s)of study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering 
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university. 
• Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)

Information:

• Location: This position is in Newark, CA. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment. 
• Availability: Full-time is preferred 
• Anticipated Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
• Work Environment: Mix of lab, office and bay. 
• Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable. 
• Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S employment authorization. 
• Medical Benefits: Dental and vision on day 1 for all interns working 30+ hours a week; medical for interns in California working 30+ hours a week
• Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area. 
• Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check.

Master's - $49

PhD - $59
