The Cloud Platform team at Lucid is currently seeking a strong Infrastructure Quality Engineer. In this position the individual will be involved in building and scaling a high-quality Cloud Platform that supports several Cloud Infrastructure Providers, and offers Cloud Connectivity, Cloud Services, and Data as a Service at Lucid Motors

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer, who is passionate about ensuring the Quality in terms of functionality, scalability, fault tolerance and high availability, of the software services developed on various Cloud Infrastructures.

The Role

• Provide Quality Assurance of Cloud Platform that is developed on top of private and public Cloud Infrastructure providers at Lucid Motors
• Experienced with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansibles, or other Infrastructure as Code automation tools
• Experienced in Kubernetes-based deployments and well versed with Microservices, Message brokers, and Big-data pipelines
• Experienced in identifying the performance bottlenecks upfront and be able to build automation tools to continuously validate the scalability of all the services across Cloud Services
• Experienced in validating device to cloud communication protocols and be able to automate the testing connectivity and scalability to benchmark
• Familiar with various types of Load Balancers and be able to test various scenarios for possible failures
• Understands the Multi-AZ, Multi-Region, Active-Active, Active-Passive modes of deployments and be able to test validate the setups and create automation for repeatability
• Understands the security aspects and be able to identify and test the security gaps in Infrastructure and Cloud services and automate the process
• Collaborate with Dev, Quality, DevOps and SRE team to ensure the quality as well as maintainability
• Shows ability to build Infrastructure Test automation frameworks from ground zero and be able to integrate with CI/CD pipeline
• Well versed with various QA test frameworks using APIs, Web Interface and CLI

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering
• 5+ years of in-depth experience in providing Quality Assurance to Cloud based software services
• 2+ years of experience in using Kubernetes or other deployment orchestrator and management mechanisms
• 2+ years of experience in using Terraforms, Pulumi, Ansibles, and other tools to automate IaC that is testable and easy to maintain and manage for diverse environment needs
• 2+ years of experience with Go, Python, Scala or any other languages and with cloud provider such as AWS
• 2+ years of experience with software services such as Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Presto, Influx/Cassandra/Dynamo, Microservices, and other technologies used in IoT space
