We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Edge and IoT. You will design, develop and enhance Edge and IoT applications. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. 

Role:

• Design and Develop Data streaming applications using C/C++, or Python 
• Work closely with a cloud team on designing and architecting high throughput and reliable data streaming solutions over unreliable networks. 
• Create and maintain Architecture, Design, Troubleshooting, Deployment, and Configuration documents 
• Make key technical implementation decisions and help guide engineering vision 
• Develop frameworks, services, and the necessary tooling to help other engineers build on top 
• Evangelize good code and solid engineering practices 
• Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and designers to identify and solve challenging problems 
• Produce well-designed, factored, and tested code

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering
• 6+ years of professional software development experience 
• Experience with Data Streaming and Data Engineering application development. 
• Proficiency in a major programming language like C/C++, Python, or Java 
• Extensive knowledge of algorithms and data structures. 
• Working knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/UDP, and HTTP, as well as communication protocols like MQTT, REST, etc. 
• Working knowledge of TLS/SS 
• Experience with Linux operating systems 
• Experience of Embedded  development  
• Experience with Agile engineering practices 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team on high-profile, critical projects 
• Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical people alike 
• Hardware BSP experience is a plus
