    We are currently seeking a Technical Project Manager for our Vehicle Crash team. This position requires an automotive professional with relevant experience planning and organizing tests for design and production validation. Our ideal candidate exhibits a strong drive, an organized mindset, and has had prior experience bringing electric vehicles to production. Take responsibility of the vehicle test planning process and work with the vehicle safety team to drive all testing across Lucid to completion. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

    The Role:

    • Monitor project progress continuously and document all program milestones and deliverables and keep program plans up to date, including monitoring schedules, milestones, deliverables, updating percentage completion, etc
    • Coordinate testing across the organization including securing test facilities and coordinating testing logistics for significant off-site tests
    • Ensure vehicle crash safety testing design validation plans (DVPs) are submitted by attribute leads and are completed on time
    • Create Scopes of Work for material and component testing to support the Vehicle Crash Safety Team
    • Support Vehicle Crash Safety Test Engineers to ensure systems and components are delivered in time to local testing and suppliers in order to ensure DVP plans are executed accordingly
    • Follow up with suppliers regarding system/part level validation timelines to ensure completion of DVP timelines
    • Enhance and maintain our vehicle crash safety testing program processes for tracking and reporting
    • Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company
    • Oversee acquisition of equipment and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with vendors, team members, managers, and in-house accountants and negotiating price and payment agreements with vendors
    • Manage and update budgets for all Vehicle Crash Safety Teams
    • Utilize Jira to communicate engineering tasks and progress
    • Utilize Confluence to publish critical information
    • Provide regular progress updates to management and the executive staff

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to use computers effectively for communication and reporting (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Ability to communicate effectively in all forms (verbal, calls, texts, emails)
    • A go-getter attitude and the desire to do things right
    • A strong understanding and experience with automotive vehicle testing and systems
    • A strong understanding of vehicle testing standards
    • Experience making schedules for large programs / projects
    • A strong knowledge of the automotive testing process for production vehicles
    • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
    • Detail oriented and organized mindset
    • Comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of projects
    • Strong Analytical and quantitative skills with ability to draw decisions using data and metrics
    • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
    • Maintain top level professional integrity and appearance
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Automotive Technology from an accredited institution
    • Ability and willingness to travel to domestically to test facilities
    • 10+ years of work experience

    Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

    ·       California (Bay Area) - $115,000 - $165,000

    Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
