    The Role

    The CDN Solutions Architect will utilize both technical and business acumen to gather and understand prospects' and existing customers’ business and technical needs to effectively communicate Lumen’s value proposition and appropriate solutions. This fast-paced environment requires a high-energy individual with the ability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously. 

    The Main Responsibilities

    The Solution Architect will be responsible for the technical aspects of the sale – requirements gathering, technical proof of concept (POC), and assist with solution deployment.

    After customer’s on boarding, the Solution Architect will embrace Lumen’s Customer Success approach and work closely with customer all along his customer life cycle to ensure Growth, Retention, Customer Satisfaction. 

    This position has the unique opportunity to work with multiple customer environments. Solutions Architect will work with sales reps (Sales Overlays and Account Directors) to understand customer requirements and determine the technical fit of Lumen's services through conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, and implementations.

    The Solutions Architect will also interface with Product Management, Engineering and Operations to help guide product direction based on client feedback and competitive research.

    Technical point of contact and customer facing (for account management)

    Detect any opportunity to grow

    Provides technical insights to grow the business

    Prevent any potential technical issue

    Build strong relationships with customers

    Support Account Directors and Sales Overlay teams from day to day activities to account planning and mapping.  

    What We Look For in a Candidate

    Excellent communication skills  

    Proactiveness

    Media and web expert with specific expertise in CDN and CDN Edge computing  

    Expert in video streaming: from acquisition to delivery

    Strong expertise in all internet technologies: HTTP/HTTPS, all web servers, web development languages, Network and Protocols, DNS, HTML5, HLS, HDS, DASH, H264 and HEVC, content protection.

    Expertise in layer 7 security solutions and small object performance optimization

    Deep knowledge in browsers, encoders, players technologies

    Desirable Experience:

    Experience working with customers in the following verticals - Media/Entertainment, Gaming, E-commerce, Financial, Technology. Social Media is a plus

    Experience of the telecoms industry products and services (Internet Transit, VPN, Transport, etc.) would be a plus
