The Opportunity

 You will own all aspects of system integration including design, needs analysis, design review, testing, implementation, and validation.  You will leverage your expertise in systems engineering in support of US Government networks.  This position be responsible for systems in support of Lumen’s Government and commercial Managed Security Services platforms addressing .gov and critical infrastructure protection missions.  An Active TS/SCI security clearance is required, 
 

This professional will reside in the one of following areas: Colorado Springs, CO, San Antonia TX, Herndon VA, and will report to a local secured facility in your area. If you reside outside of Virginia, you will be asked to travel about 25% to Hearndon, VA.

What You Will Do

• Software and Server Testing and Integration
• System Installation / Administration
• IT & Information Security Strategies
• Infrastructure Analysis & Improvement
• End-User Training & Support
• Performance Monitoring / Optimization
• Supporting and maintaining closed network environments
• Design, needs analysis, design review, testing, implementation, and validation.
• Provide advanced Tier III and Tier IV support for a nationwide fiber optic transport network and two geographically separated network operations centers. 
• Ensure systems are within Information Assurance standards by testing and implementing security updates, managing Group Policy Objects (GPO), conducting Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans
• Manage and participate in enterprise-level projects encompassing systems, networks, and SAN/NAS storage.
• Oversee/monitor status of systems and equipment to address potential technical problems.  Inspect and analyze equipment/systems performance to determine maintenance and repair requirements.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor Windows High Availability environments, McAfee ePO, SQL,System Center Suite (SCOM/SCCM/SCVMM), Solarwinds, Veritas NetBackup, Unitrends Backup appliances, SharePoint, Red Hat Linux, Remedy and Exchange servers

What You Bring:

•  Active TS/SCI security clearance required 
•  DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+) or above
•  Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field and three years of experience, or seven years applicable work experience
•  MCSA or RHCE certification
•  Experience with Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/2019, 
•  SQL DB Administration
•  Microsoft System Center,
•  Red Hat Linux 7/8,
•  Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and PowerShell.
•  Experience with Virtualization and High Availability
•  Understanding of balancing security risk, cost, and delivery requirements.
•  Strong technical skills and understanding of information systems, network protocols, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, log management, network behavior analysis, vulnerability scan tools and processes.
•  Ability to provide the proactive status of assigned work and ability to estimate the level of effort for future work.
•  Understand patch compliance and system audit data.
