The Planner II – Access Assurance is responsible for NetEx cost management, proactive margin improvement, handling jeopardy/capacity case resolutions, fielding ad hoc inquiries, and performing analysis and executing changes in support of the Access Assurance Program within the Access Management Organization.
Primary Responsibilities
• Self-source opportunities in a shared work queue to solve access jeopardy issues for in-flight customer installation orders leveraging superior problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Act with a sense of urgency, balancing the customer experience and Lumen’s financial needs, while adhering to team SLA and process standards
• Implemented identified solutions into the orders to support service delivery process
• Directly support the team’s NetEx Cost Avoidance Target through an individualized target
• Negotiation and communication with off-net access vendors and internal stakeholders (Sales/CCM/Customer Support/Service Delivery organizations)
• Root cause analysis to drive efficiencies across supported functions
• Analyze data and impacts to processes in response to inquiries / business problems
• Identifying new areas of improvement within the business
• Evaluate off-net orders for potential on-net builds leveraging financial modeling
• Other projects/duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years related experience
• Working knowledge of Provisioning and Order Entry processes/workflows
• Strong accountability, ownership, and decision-making skills
• Previous experience working with directly with sales/AD’s/CCM’s/provisioners
• Proven ability to solve complex analytical challenges, independently analyze information, and make complex decisions based on data-driven analysis
• Ability to set priorities, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines with minimal direct supervision
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Required Lumen system knowledge: Flight Deck, IFO, Scenario Manager, Swift, Pipeline, CAT, Netbuild, GLM, AMS, and ROC
Preferred Qualifications:
• Expert level knowledge of local access technologies
• Expert knowledge of:
o Affiliate and third-party local access, including NetEx costs and third-party vendor contracts
o COG process
o Sales, OE and/or service delivery processes/workflows
• Expert level knowledge of MS Excel, including the use of advanced data evaluation techniques
• Preferred systems knowledge: COMET, Access Assurance Tool, PRO, ASRI, iSE, CPO, SAO, VFO, BPM Portal and OMC
• Superior collaboration skills, demonstrated ability to develop strong interdepartmental relationships
