Location: DISA HQ, Ft. Meade, MD
This is a highly technical and hands-on position requiring the selected candidate to support both customer operations and Lumen services provided to the customer. The candidate will work full-time at the customer location within secure space and require TS/SCI clearance. The candidate should be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently with little to no supervision. You will provide architectural framework, technical guidance, and operational leadership to senior security technology teams and other government staff. This senior position will have both a strategic and tactical focus around networks, cyber security, application security technologies, and industry best practices. Candidates will possess superior understanding of enterprise class security technology architecture, with a specific focus on modern solutions that consider user experience with strong security capabilities.
• The candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in system architecture and engineering disciplines. Specific technical knowledge of enterprise level networking and network security.
• Recommends optimized solutions to support current and long range planning and collaborates with project team leads in the selection, recommendation and approvals of tools and technologies to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.
• The candidate shall provide input to address customer operations and Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) with specific tie-ins to contractor threat intelligence and Lumen defense in depth capabilities.
• The candidate shall continuously assess the latest threat activity against customer advertised IP space and provide recommendations to best defend customer mission relevant terrain.
• The candidate shall provide telecommunication mission support to DCO, operational plans, mission objectives, and the crisis management team needs.
• The candidate shall develop, manage, and provide status briefings for Lumen programs, system, operations, implementation, and transition plans, and governance, technical papers, white papers, and concept of operations (CONOPs).
• The candidate shall develop and provide engineering documentation, system documentation, manuals, reports, or any other documents or presentations.
• The candidate shall assist in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of briefs, documents, training materials, guides, and reports.
• The candidate shall contribute to the design and continuous development of the Lumen telecommunication backbone, customer enterprise network and architectures.
• The candidate shall facilitate, coordinate, and assist in the development, review, and edit of briefings and technical content.
• The candidate shall provide written documentation to address areas of concern for shortfalls and recommend courses of action (COAs) to fulfill customer operations and DCO gaps and capability requirements.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent education & experience
• 15+ years related experience
• Exceptional Communication Skills, with an ability to deliver information to various audiences
• Candidate should be an expert with cyber security, networking protocols, common intrusion techniques, and risk management concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with good knowledge of tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing and resolving technical problems pertaining to security.
• Strong candidates will have experience in architecting security control systems to address security requirements; identify control deficiencies and make recommendations.
• Experience working with government customers in classified environments.
