The Role

Key Member of the Network and Platform Automation Development team, responsible for creating Automations for: Automating Provisioning of Network and Server services, Event Management,  Auto Incident Remediation, and Change Automation for Managed Services, Network Operations, Edge Compute services. Partner in a highly collaborative team environment and be able to independently design, develop, code, test and debug new software or significant enhancements to existing software of moderate complexity. Develop solutions across many disciplines and be responsible for explaining solutions and procedures. Apply best software development practices, design principles, theories and concepts and use methodologies, tools, documentation processes and test procedures to complete projects related to enterprise level application in a highly integrated application domain. 

The Main Responsibilities

•    Implements software applications for the purpose of enhancing and updating the computer system within an Agile Scrum framework
•    Tasks may include designing and coding programs and testing and documenting changes and enhancements
•    Tasks may include project implementation, researching and evaluating problems, and recommending and implementing decisions
•    Conducts training for the purpose of providing technical expertise to end users
•    Tasks may include training for System Operator/Programmer, providing user activity education, and one-on-one support
•    Working with Product Owners to ensure clear requirements and host application demonstrations and POCs
•    Peer Programing and Peer Code reviews
•    Create a positive experience by building an supporting relationships with Product Owners, Peers, and external development and engineering teams
 

What We Look For in a Candidate

•    5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Skills: 5+ years of demonstrable experience in:
•    Python
•    JavaScript
•    Postgres and Mongo Database Queries, Scripting and Data Modeling
•    Webservices and Applications
•    OpenShift and Kubernetes 
•    Kafka and RabbitMQ message services and transformation
•    CI/CD  and code coverage best practices and automation, for SDLC pipeline
•    Behavior Driven Development
•    3+ Years of Agile Scrum and Lean or Extreme Programing Practices
•    Microservices and Modular Design and implementation
