    Position summary

    Join the Macquarie Capital Middle Office team as an Analyst (Executive). You will be a leader in a growing team supporting a highly profitable business. This role is based in the Jacksonville Office and supports Debt Capital Markets, Credit Sales and Trading, Equity Capital Markets and Principal Investment Growth Equity.

    As part of a larger global operations team, the regional team is responsible for a variety of debt and equity transactions across a wide range of industries, with your primary responsibilities focused on the Growth Equity business. In this role, you will be responsible for leading areas of the operational management of a varied investment portfolio in North America, from pre-approval to maturity, as well have as the opportunity to work on special projects.  

    Working closely with key internal stakeholders, including front office, risk, finance, and legal teams, you will coordinate all aspects of operational support for the business including approval process, systems setup, settlement, and ongoing management for transactions whilst ensuring that our risk management framework, policies and procedures are met. 

    This will involve:

    • Responsibility for delivering all operational aspects for one of the three product teams
    • Transaction funding and management of deal cash flow
    • Preparing, processing, and maintaining legal and transaction documents
    • Operational analysis of new/proposed transactions and implementation of appropriate procedures for effective day to day management
    • Primary and secondary loan administration using Loan IQ
    • Setting up new structures for equity transactions, including new legal entities and external bank accounts
    • Submitting conflicts checks and KYC requests
    • Portfolio reporting
    • Asset management activities
    • Special projects and operational improvement

    You will have 2-5 years in a similar operational role within banking and finance. You will be tertiary qualified (accounting/economics/finance/business) with a strong academic record and your career aspirations will lie in middle office operations. Your previous experience in banking or finance will have equipped you with sound organizational and time management skills. In addition, you will have high attention to detail with the ability to problem solve and remain organized in a dynamic environment. 

    You will be able to work effectively to meet tight deadlines as well as the commitment to follow tasks through to completion. You will have experience with commercial loan systems (LoanIQ) and an understanding of the syndicated loan market, strong numerical skills, and intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills.
