    Position summary

    In this excting new role you will be responsible for delivering strategic, scalable change for the Commodities & Global Markets, Americas group.

    Commodities and Global Markets provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and commodities. This is a great opportunity to work closely with key business stakeholders in a fast-paced trading environment to understand the domain and provide solutions that enable continued growth of the business and the team.

    You will be a seasoned technology lead with a track record in partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders to deliver innovative and scalable solutions, particularly Energy Trading and Risk Management.

    Think strategically but have a strong commercial focus and are committed to realizing exceptional value for our business.

    Your role will entail forging strong working relationships with Front/Mid/Back-office stakeholders as well as technology teams across the world.

    You will have:

    • Software engineering background in Java with applied exposure to cloud native technologies, preferably AWS
    • proven technical architecture and solution design skills
    • a bias towards strategic thinking and transformational change delivery
    • delivery orientation, quickly and incrementally moving our architecture towards the desired target state
    • the ability to quickly grasp complex business problems and design holistic and robust solutions
    • exceptional ability to influence, create alignment and effect change with senior stakeholders across both technology and the business
    • refined experience of managing technical teams in both the on-site and remote environments.

    In addition, the following would be advantageous but are not essential:

    • Commodities product knowledge, especially energy products
    • software delivery management in a Front Office environment
    • exposure to data architecture, data platforms and data analytics tools.
