    Position summary

    We are looking for a curious and innovative Intelligence Collections Manager with a passion for cyber threat identification and remediation, information security operations, automation, customer service, and program development. As a Cyber Security Research and Hunt (R&H) team member, you’ll be partnering with multiple functions in our global Cyber Threat and Incident Response team who are responsible for ensuring that our digital estate is protected from threats. You will be working alongside a diverse team around the globe and be a vital contributor to identifying, triaging, and managing threats and risks in the cyber environment. You will also act to ensure that Macquarie’s digital estate is protected from threats both known and unknown.

    Your new team

    You will be part of the Cyber Security Research and Hunt Team. The Collections Manager is responsible for supporting the Cyber Threat and Incident Response team through maintained threat landscape intimacy; providing advanced security research and proactive threat detection and advice to better defend Macquarie.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Serve as an all-source Cyber threat intelligence analyst
    • Provide analytic support pertaining to a wide range of cyber threat actors
    • Strong deliverable skills in both writing and presenting of cyber reports
    • Perform open-source reconnaissance and vendor direction to help inform awareness of information exposures for the Group.
    • Demonstrate the ability to use multiple tools and techniques in the acquisition and processing of information.
    • Triage of discovered / disclosed information leaks with a sound ability to both communicate exposures and effectively articulate required remediation, and feed into the data breach process where required.
    • Presentation of your work to peers in your immediate team, internal customers and to across the broader Macquarie security community.
    • Respond to internal customer inquiries of cyber-related threats impacting the financial sector

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a passion for information through course work/degrees completed, self-study, and/or completed certifications
    • Experience with collecting, analysing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources
    • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
    • BA/BS degree or higher in International Relations, Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, Political Science, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field
    • Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Experience with incident response and digital forensics, security engineering, security operations, computer network operations, information operations and/or topical cyber matters
    • Knowledge of cyber threat intelligence processes and tradecraft
    • Ability to write high-quality intelligence assessments and briefings for a senior-level audience
    • Ability to leverage well-honed online researching expertise to identify and navigate relevant online forums, including Web sites, social media, and traditional sources to support research and analysis
    • Knowledge of the Cyber Kill Chain and Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis
    • Working understanding of structured analytic techniques and how to apply them
    • Similar intelligence experience outside of cyber

    Formal Education & Certifications:

    • BA/BS in International Relations, Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, Political Science, Cyber Security or related field or related work experience
    • Network+, Security+, GSEC or CEH Certification, relevant SANS training, or other technical industry certifications
    • Threat intelligence coursework
