Join our team as a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer and become a key contributor in delivering and supporting our strategic program to deploy Virtual Services globally for Macquarie.
Macquarie is on a transformational journey over the next 12 months with Virtual Desktop and Virtual Applications being seen as a strategic pillar of the organization’s technology vision. We have a growing team which is focused on continuous improvement, customer delight and delivering with a high level of pace and standard, but we need help! We need an enthusiastic virtualization specialist, someone who is passionate, curious and excited about technology, someone who wants to be part of a high performing team that is making a huge difference at Macquarie and is leading strategic initiatives for the organization as a whole.
In this role you will be contributing to design and delivery across all Virtual Services and will be pivotal to growth and success of our services, globally.
It will require close collaboration with our various internal and external technology and business teams, as well as being customer-obsessed so that the Service can provide the best user experience possible.
Your technical skills/experience should include:
exposure to deployment and management of a Virtual Desktop and Application presentation platform on premise or in public cloud
experience in public cloud as well as on premise virtualization technologies, and related infrastructure as it pertains to VDI
an understanding of multi site, cross region architecture with respect to VDI platforms
exposure to the design, deployment and maintenance of remote access systems for virtual desktops and applications
experience with DaaS platforms (Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS Workspaces etc) looked upon favourably
Microsoft Desktop SOE Design, SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policies, Application Packaging and deployments not essential but looked upon favourably
exposure to Lakeside Systrack or similar end user experience monitoring
experience with automation via PowerShell, AWX, python or other scripting/automation frameworks.
