Position summary

Join Macquarie Asset Management in our Philadelphia office as a Financial Analyst supporting the Macquarie Asset Management Public Investments’ Business Finance team.  In this role, you will enjoy a fast-paced environment along with varied and challenging work which will offer senior-level management exposure across a wide variety of business activities. You will have a positive, confident and proactive approach, as well as exceptional time management skills.  You will work closely with and report to the Head of US P&L, Reporting & Analysis.

In this role, you will:

  • facilitate monthly/quarterly close process for Macquarie Asset Management Public Investments including but not limited to the monthly earning reforecast, fully allocated P&L analysis, line of business reporting and additional ad hoc profitability analysis as needed by Senior Management.
  • support development of the annual budget and overall financial plan including distributing budget templates, collaborating with department managers to develop expense and headcount projections and consolidating completed templates for load into Oracle Fusion.
  • prepare insightful budget / forecast versus actual analyses.
  • prepare monthly headcount analysis and variance to budget.
  • maintain and update Oracle Fusion reports, hierarchies and cost center structures.
  • produce and evaluate monthly trending reports relating to all recovery areas.
  • produce and evaluate targeted expense analyses

You will have at least three years of educational or work experience related to accounting or finance with exposure to the Investment Management / Financial Services industry.  You will also possess strong numerical and financial modelling skills.  A CPA or MBA is preferred. 

As a financial analyst, you will have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will be a proactive and resilient individual possessing strong interpersonal skills which will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

An ability to maintain confidentiality, think laterally, solve problems independently, drive initiatives and manage projects, while working cohesively as part of a larger team, are all key characteristics required for this role.   For success in the role, you will be organized, and have an eye for detail.
