Join our Proprietary Crude Oil Trading Desk as a Latam Crude Oil Trader, based in our Houston office.
Reporting to the Head of Crude Trading, you will be responsible for building the physical trading business across Latin American crude oil markets including Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil. This is an excellent opportunity to own the daily market point of view for this region including all relevant contributions to the team’s Supply/Demand balance. Some day-to-day responsibilities include entering physical transactions, asset lease and purchase opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following knowledge and qualifications:
- Prior success in building a physical and financial crude business in this region.
- More than 5 years of profitable proprietary trading experience in this region.
- Physical and financial trading experience
- Asset lease or purchase experience
- You need a detailed understanding of macro crude oil supply and demand dynamics, physical crude oil procurement along with a track record of successful and profitable execution.
