Join Macquarie Capital Principal Finance’s Operations team as a Manager. You will be a developing leader in a growing team supporting a highly profitable business. This role is based in the New York office.
The North American portfolio is the largest regional portfolio for the global business. Given the varied nature of the portfolio and wide range of activities performed by the team, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your technical expertise, and developing leadership skills to grow your career in a dynamic environment. As part of a larger global operations team, the regional team in New York is responsible for a variety of debt and equity transactions across a wide range of industries covering Private Credit / Equity. In this role, you will be responsible for areas of the operational management and middle office activity, from pre-approval to maturity, as well as having the opportunity to work on special projects.
Working closely with key internal stakeholders, including front office, risk, finance and legal teams, you will coordinate all aspects of operational support for the business including approval process, systems setup, settlement and ongoing management for transactions whilst ensuring that our risk management framework, policies and procedures are met.
You will be responsible for:
You will have 4-7 years in a similar operational role within banking and finance and preferably with direct Finastra’s Loan IQ experience. You will be tertiary qualified (accounting/economics/finance/business) with a strong academic record and your career aspirations will lie in back and middle office operations. Your previous experience in banking or finance will have equipped you with sound organizational and time management skills. In addition, you will have high attention to detail with the ability to problem solve and remain organized in a dynamic environment. You will be able to work effectively to meet tight deadlines as well as the drive and determination to follow tasks through to completion. You will have experience with commercial loan systems (LoanIQ preferred) and an understanding of the syndicated and/or private debt loan market, strong numerical skills, and intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills.

Salary range for this position: $100,000 - $150,000 per year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
