A unique opportunity to join a dynamic team at an exciting time in Macquarie’s renewable energy journey within the asset management space. You will be part of the Asset Creation & Management (“ACM”) team within Green Investment Group (“GIG”), part of Macquarie Asset Management Real Assets.
As a manager based in the New York office, you will be working closely with other Asset Creation & Management team members, investment team members and portfolio company management executives across the investment’s lifecycle.
The responsibilities of the role will include supporting GIG’s investment strategy by working with the investment team in the identification of asset management requirements and solutions, development of management structure, and review of financial budgets. Post investment, you will support the team to develop and implement the transition and asset management plans, which includes governance, set-up, and transition activities, as well as recommend any delegated authority and risk management requirements to the management team of the portfolio company.
You will support nominee directors in the oversight across portfolio investments with a focus on risk mitigation and value enhancement. You will be working closely with the investment teams, internal functional specialists and portfolio company management in understanding and ensuring compliance with key project contracts, financing agreements and project regulatory requirements.
Your role will involve providing support in the monitoring and oversight of GIG’s portfolio of investments. This includes supporting portfolio reporting, including monthly management reporting, quarterly portfolio reviews and valuations. You will also be responsible for executing financial management requirements on behalf of sponsor and oversee the portfolio company’s capital, accounting, and tax requirements.
Additionally, you will support senior team members on continuous business improvements as well as any other team strategic initiatives.
To be considered for this role you will have a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in asset management, portfolio management of energy investments or in project finance. You must be adept at problem solving and critical thinking, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work accurately in a fast-paced, sometimes uncertain environment. Excellent interpersonal and strong verbal and written communication skills are critical, and you should be familiar with best practice for financial reporting, risk management and asset governance along with fundamental understanding of project finance, commercial debt finance and the related accounting. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Salary Range
Salary range for this position: $115,000 - $135,000/Yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
