Position summary
Join Macquarie’s Houston Energy Trading team as an experienced Natural Gas Scheduler.
In this role, you will coordinate and implement the execution of Macquarie’s Midcontinent physical natural gas transactions. You will work with scheduling and trading teams to resolve flow issues, contribute to the optimization of Macquarie’s assets and ensure all activity is accurately recorded in internal systems for profit and loss calculations and invoicing.
In this job you will:
- Assist trading and other schedulers with managing our physical positions
- Coordinate nominations with third party and internal schedulers
- Enter nominations accurately and on time
- Update internal scheduling system with planned and final activity
- Develop and maintain relationships with pipeline and other gas facility representatives
- Monitor pipeline sites for outage and maintenance information
- Work with settlements resolve any invoicing issues
- Interact professionally and respectfully with others at all times
The successful candidate will have:
- Two or more years of Midcontinent scheduling experience
- Strong communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills
- Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to work in an ever changing, high pressure, deadline driven environment
This is an on-site position out of our Houston office. Any required after hours and weekend responsibilities can be done so from home.
