    Position summary

    Macquarie Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a .NET developer to join a front-office team supporting pre-trade analytics applications. This is a client-facing and highly visible role supporting commodities traders in both Houston and Macquarie’s global locations.

    You will work alongside stakeholders and the engineering team to uplift existing application suite. You will be engaged in all phases of software development, including design, implementation, testing, release and application support. We have a people-centered culture, which means we want to hear your ideas.  You will be empowered to research, evaluate and present recommendations for software solutions.

    We’re looking for someone with the following experience and skills to join our team:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
    • 3+ years’ experience in C# .NET Windows development
    • 3+ years’ experience in UI development
    • Familiarity with SQL/PL-SQL
    • Ability to navigate custom business workflows and modernize DevOps processes
    • A strong customer focus and a willingness to own the end-to-end delivery of business value
    • Ability to communicate problems and solutions effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
    • A self-motivated, inquisitive and methodical style of problem-solving
    • Capacity to handle multiple tasks to support the traders and other business users
    • Good understanding of data structures, design patterns and algorithms
    • Agile methodology and practices
    • Eagerness to learn new technologies

    It will be additionally helpful if you have the following skills/experience:

    • Financial trading systems
    • Winforms / ASP.NET / VBA
    • Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, PostgreSQL, Redshift)
