Operational Risk Manager

Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets group provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities.

In this role, you’ll partner with Commodities and Global Markets teams to ensure that Technology Risk is managed effectively, in line with Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management Frameworks and associated policies. You’ll work with the team to drive a strong, proactive risk culture and a clear understanding of the risk framework.

The role requires you to:

• Work collaboratively with the Technology team and senior business stakeholders to identify operational issues and control breakdowns and advise on proposed responses.
• Driving the conversation on incident investigation to identify root cause, conducting controls assurance/ deep-dive reviews, and risk workshops.
• Think outside the box and use some data analytics/ process mining tools to automate control testing. Any prior experience in process automation, coding, or analytics tools are highly desired.

To be successful, you will have Technology expertise with operational risk management, assurance experience, or analytics. Ideally, you will have experience gained in-house or working with clients in a professional services environment. Recent experience in assessing Public Cloud deployments (IaaS and PaaS) is beneficial.  Candidates with Institutional Banking or Markets experience will be well regards.
