Macquarie's Commodities & Global Markets (CGM) Group is seeking to hire an Associate Director/Vice President in Houston within the Risk Culture & Supervision team (RC&S). CGM recognises that risk culture, effective supervision and good behaviour are at the centre of its’ culture and are key to its on-going success. RC&S is CGM’s specialist, first-line of defence team, dedicated to these critical risk areas. The RC&S team work directly with front office supervisors, first-line operational risk (BORM), specialist second-line risk and other support functions to enhance the existing supervisory tools and control suite, as well as CGM’s conduct-related processes.
The primary responsibility of this role is to be the first point of contact for the day-to-day operation of the CGM RC&S program of work, in the Americas region, as part of the wider RC&S team. This will include providing advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders across all supervision control and system queries; being local lead on conduct related issues; assisting in the production of management reporting, guidance materials, surveys and being the local representative of RC&S in local governance meetings. Additionally, you will play a role in the design of the CGM’s supervisory framework and the associated implementation of processes, controls (including supervisor training) and reporting. You will be expected to co-ordinate with your global peers to ensure fair and equitable treatment of CGM staff. The role provides you with an opportunity to work in a global cross-divisional group within CGM with counterparts in Sydney, London, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong, and will give you direct exposure to senior stakeholders.
