    Position summary

     We are looking for motivated individuals to join the team that have a desire to make an immediate impact in a global company and have the technical skills to contribute from day one. In this role you will be working alongside a diverse team of individuals in multiple offices across the globe and be responsible for design, development and implementation of service-oriented applications to support our Commodities and Global Markets trading operations. Your skills are required to assist us in reaching our vision to modernize our existing software stack using the latest technologies and cloud capabilities in order to enable the Commodities and Global Markets business to expand and grow into new markets across the globe and continue to be leaders in the industry. Your top-notch design skills and coding capabilities will be put to the task developing our global service-oriented architecture for real-time risk and PnL calculations on our trading portfolio which will be delivered using agile methodologies in support of the business. You will get opportunities to work closely with the trading group and other supports including Risk Management Group and Finance Management group. 

    To be successful in this role, you will have several years of experience working in a challenging, fast-paced work environment with high-visibility to internal customers and stakeholders across the globe maintaining a successful record delivering results. The ideal candidates will have competencies across all aspects of software engineering including testing, full stack development and integration. 

     What is the job?  

    • Design, develop and implement service-oriented architecture to support global commodities, credit markets and fixed income trading operations 
    • Build robust risk and pnl platform in AWS environment including Amazon EKS, MSK and Aurora DB 
    • Enhance, upgrade and support our CI framework enabling our agile methodologies 
    • Design, develop and maintain dashboard monitoring systems as required 
    • Proactive monitoring of system health, responding to alerts and incidents 
    • Automating support tasks, and eliminating failure demand 

    What the ideal candidate should know/have experience with: 

    • Be a great team player and contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
    • Write well designed, testable and maintainable code.
    • Experience designing and coding in Java_, Scala_
    • Experience developing service-oriented architecture 
    • An understanding of common design patterns and data concepts 
    • Familiarity with cloud-based development 
    • Familiarity with functional programming and design
