We have an excellent opprtunity within our Houston office in the Platform Delviery Team that enables Macquarie's global activities by undertaking the design and implementation of IT infrastructure related projects and support of the platform.
Your drive to deliver will be utlizied as you are responsible for delivering solutions and support for Macquarie's evolving database environment as part of a global team. The database environment is complex, with Sybase ASE, Replication server, ECDA and IQ running on Solaris or Linux platforms and Oracle running on Solaris and Linux using both physical and VMs with Data Guard capabilities.
Your sense of owndership will be used as you take resonsibility deploying, upgrading and maintaining the database fleet, providing feedback on the health of the environment and creating automation for repeatable requirements.
Using your collaberative approach you will be on a roster together with a number of DBAs located in London, US and Asia/ANZ. as well as managing and co-ordinating a team of three other DBAs in the Houston office.
Additionally building and maintaining sound working relationships with the Macquarie business users and the wider global IT team.
Further responsibilites include :
You will have a minimum 10 years of relevant DBA experience with 4 years working in a global corporate environment and an expert level Database Administrator, with a strong primary skill-set MS SQL Server and SQL BI tools, Sybase ASE and Replication Server. Sybase IQ and ECDA skills are desirable but optional.
