Site Reliability Engineer

You will thrive in a fast-paced, solution-focused environment and draw on your collaborative and problem-solving skills to achieve optimal outcomes for CGM Technology, and your stakeholders in a space that is undergoing a large Public Cloud transformation. You will think critically to understand and navigate through to outcomes and use your exceptional people skills to negotiate and manage through ambiguity as you achieve the desired results.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience, or an interest in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Kubernetes etc)
• Strong conceptual understanding of all levels within the technology stack (networks, storage, operating system, virtualization, database, and applications)
• Mastery in at least two or more software languages (e.g. Python, Java,  etc.) with respect to designing, coding, testing, and software delivery
• Familiarity with Database Technologies (Sybase, Oracle, SQLServer, Amazon Aurora)
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with business users
• A self-motivated, inquisitive and methodical style of problem-solving
• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications
• A track record for spotting problems, areas for improvements and performance bottlenecks.
