Join our USA Customer Solution business of the Green Investment Group (“GIG”), part of Macquarie Asset Management (“MAM”), as a Senior Vice President (Associate Director) and help support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.
You will oversee the structuring, negotiating and executing of renewable energy transactions including PPAs, Green Fuel & Gas PAs, Environmental Attributes and other hedging instruments with corporate customers, utilities and traders for the Green Investment Group’s and Macquarie Asset Management's investments in USA.
As renewable industry expert, you will be entrusted with executing and managing revenue contracts for the Green Investment Group’s direct and indirect investments in USA, by providing support and services to the Green Investment Group’s and Macquarie Asset Management’s funds, platforms, subsidiaries and JVs.
This role will see you develop active relationships with corporate and utility buyers, as well as renewable energy advisors and other market operators. As such, you will manage internal stakeholder engagement, including risk, finance, compliance and legal, and ensuring fulfilment of their requirements on each transaction. Through creating and aligning best industry practices with the Green Investment Group and Macquarie offices globally, you will be working closely with project finance banks and investors, as well as the Green Investment Group’s deal team and the global Customer Solution team, to ensure that GIG’s contracts meet the highest standards of quality. You will also be responsible for monitoring and providing updates to GIG’s and MAM’s US business on pricing and energy markets, trends and opportunities. Overtime, you will manage a team of renewable energy experts across North America.
To exceed in this role, you will have a detailed understanding of structured energy transactions and contract negotiations and a deep understanding of the links between revenue contracts, investment models and project finance documentation, direct agreements, bank and corporate guarantees and intercreditor agreements. You will have a minimum of ten years’ experience in originating, structuring and negotiating long-term contracts, preferably in multiple States and participating in the day-to-day execution and negotiation of commercial contracts. This role is ideal for you if you possess a mathematical mind with a natural ability to understand (and affinity for discussing) complex cash flows, energy flows, payoff formulas and settlement mechanics. Salary range for this position: $240,000 - $300,000/Yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
