Join our growing and dynamic insurance team as a Vice President - Insurance Solutions Business Development, responsible for executing Macquarie’s insurance business growth strategy in North America.
You will work with a team who manages over $100 billion globally on behalf of insurance companies and are actively engaging the market to cultivate new clients. You will be an integral player in developing the client segment and requires a committed work ethic and entrepreneurial drive.
Reporting to the Head of Insurance Solutions General Account Business Development, you will be a key member of the Insurance Solutions team, which is part of Macquarie’s Client Solutions Group, and will engage closely with the firm’s insurance clients and prospects to identify opportunities to grow Macquarie’s business within the insurance general account market in North America. Supported by an insurance sales associate, you will work closely with various teams inside the Macquarie Asset Management organization including insurance strategy, public and private markets investment teams, product management and marketing in order to identify and close new business opportunities in North America.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated success initiating relationships and raising assets with the insurance general account channel. The candidate will possess a working knowledge of both the public and private market investment landscape for insurers and a keen understanding of the underlying regulatory, accounting, or actuarial issues that drive investment management decision making with insurance companies.

You will possess strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple demands including balancing new business opportunities and the needs of current insurance clients. You will have the ability and willingness to work on strategic projects at the firm to advance our holistic suite of insurance offerings along with a working knowledge of financial modelling, insurance asset allocation, capital constraints, and peer comparisons.
