Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Classification Management Officer 3 (CMO 3) to join our team in the Chantilly, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Classification Management Officer 3 (CMO 3) provides comprehensive classification management guidance in accordance with Executive Orders, National Security guidelines, ICD 710, the DNI Classification Register and Manual and NRO Classification policy and procedures.

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the NRO Security Self-Inspection Program

  • Write reports and memoranda concerning the findings of each self-inspection

  • Perform detailed analysis and quick issue resolution

  • Provide classification, control marking, and dissemination principles knowledge

  • Provide CM recommendations to senior customer leadership

  • Generate, track, coordinate and respond to action items in a timely manner

  • Conduct classification reviews

  • Identify and assess sources for classification determinations

Position Requirements:

  • Masters and 5 years' experience or Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience or Associates and 12 years' experience or High School Diploma and 15 years' experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SCI arena

  • Thorough understanding of Executive Order 13526 and it's implementing directive

  • Thorough understanding of IC and DoD classification regulatory guidance

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and research skills a must

  • Ability to communicate with Senior level government personnel.

  • Previous experience providing protection and classification guidance to a federal customer highly preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, i.e., word, power point, and excel

  • NRO and IC experience preferred.

Security Requirements:

Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical requirements:

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

Must be able to continuously use a computer and other office productivity devices and or machinery
