Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented GEOINT OPS Research Analyst/Advisor to join our team in Springfield, Virginia!

Provides the government with independent assessments, evaluations, and reviews of NSG and agency policy, programs, and operations. Gather and analyze information, identify areas for improvement, draft findings, and recommendations, and prepare reports and other products in accordance with guidance and professional standards. During the reevaluation period they will follow up on report recommendations to determine if appropriate corrective actions are identified and implemented.

There will be three types of assessments: Major, Minor, and Micro-assessments.

  • The major assessments are: GEOINT Community R&D Review, Mission Management Assessment, and NSG AAA Implementation.

  • Most of the minor assessments are on GEOINT Analysis, GEOINT Information Systems / Architecture, and GEOINT Collection systems. These will come from NSG community requests that will come to the agnecy as part of a military service request through the NSG Enterprise Requirements Framework (NERF) process. In that process the agency will receive a request from the service, once it's accepted (as complete), it will come the GEOCOM team to assess, if validated then it will go back to agency for funding and execution.

  • The micro-assessments will be completed in hours, days, or weeks. These will generally be answers to NSG questions, have very limited scope, and require limited or no documentation. These may be the answers to questions such as those posed at subcommittee meetings or done in preparation for other meetings or conferences.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Conduct and prepare assessments-this Assessments Team member will have expertise in GEOINT Systems Engineering.

  • Provide expertise for the assessments in the following areas: application of structured approaches to design and implementation of IT systems and processes; testing, and validation of services; assess integration of systems and services into enterprise architecture.

  • Finalize the assessment reports with Introduction, Methodology, Findings, Recommendations, Conclusions, and appropriate Appendices for Systems Engineering.

  • Gather and analyze a collection of data, identify areas of improvement, draft findings, prepare reports and other products with credible, accurate, and useful information to address the problem being studied.

  • Conduct readiness evaluations to determine the agency's ability to meet mission requirements.

  • Evaluate the agency's readiness to support NSG partners in the DoD and IC.

  • I dentify barriers including access to relevant, current, and accurate data; and/or lack of capabilities, skills, processes, and tools to make sense of the data.

  • Create slides and the written presentation of narratives for final report and provide recommendations to leadership.

  • Report agency's progress against issues raised by the Joint Staff and warfighters in the Combat Support Agency Review Team's assessment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance (CI Polygraph preferred)

  • Seven (7) years of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT)/Intelligence Community (IC) experience and a Bachelors' degree - OR - 15 years of related experience and no Bachelors' degree

  • Experience conducting readiness evaluations to determine customers ability to meet mission requirements.

  • Experience gathering and analyzing data collection to identify areas of improvement, recommendations, draft findings, and prepare reports with other products to address impediments being studied.

  • Must have a general broad based of GEOINT and the function of the NSG and GEOCOM.

  • Experience or knowledge of systems engineer, vulnerability research, cyber security, systems aror other related field.

  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency to perform general office management/staff officer duties.

  • Experience in gathering information and critical thinking capacity to synthesize information.

  • Ability to extract and synthesize complex information to prepare assessments.

  • Comprehensive understanding and use of Microsoft Office Applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior work experience at the agency.

  • Specialized knowledge and/or understanding of the National System for GEOINT (NSG).

  • Specialized knowledge of the agency, its key components, directorate, offices, and programs.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • None

SCHEDULED WEEKLY HOURS:

  • 40 (Full Time)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
