r shipment coordination of finished goods, maintaining target inventory levels, leading category S&OP processes and related reporting. The Supply Planner will build strong internal and external relationships to manage the flow of goods and ultimately ensure product is available to maintain target service levels for our customers. The focus of this role is to strategically execute the purchasing, movement, and storage of goods at our inventory locations.
Purchasing & Inventory Management
Work with suppliers/manufacturers to order and ship required finished good products to fulfill forecasted service requirements and maintain target inventory levels.
Manage relationships with freight forwarding and warehousing partners to ensure product is delivered on time and available for forecasted requirements
Maintain estimated time of arrival and PO corrections for all open orders on your category
Reconcile on hand physical inventory with system reported inventory monthly, working closely with the order management analysts to maintain system accuracy
Monitor and report on any product expiry or risk including ad hoc reporting and analysis
Supply Planning
Work with the internal Canadian Sales Team on strategic projects/initiatives to provide supply related expertise and insights
Analyze, determine, and implement strategic inventory targets by item/location for your category
Monitor KPI performance and maintain target service levels, inventory levels, and data integrity nobjectives
Conduct meetings with internal sales team stakeholders to discuss and support the business, taking corrective action as required
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Cadence
Lead the Portfolio and Supply Review meetings on monthly cadence with the Brands team
Take ownership of all at-risk items to ensure all remediating actions are fully executed to minimize the impact to customer service
Co-ordinate with the demand organization to ensure demand required are understood and integrated into supply plans
Continually communicate status updates to stakeholders for at-risk items • Optimize the end to end supply chain and distribution system while enhancing customer service
Other related duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
Previous Supply Chain Planning experience, prior CPG or Beverage Industry experience is an asset
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce; Supply Chain specialization preferred
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook as well as meticulous data entry skills.
Highly proficient in Excel
Understanding of ERP functionality
Demonstrated ability to work across functions, business units and geographies - a strong background in a matrix organization is beneficial
Effective business systems thinker and a good understanding of business process knowledge
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse environment
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time
Excellent oral and written communication skills
