    Overview
    We are looking for a Financial Intelligence Unit Analyst to drive our AML investigations strategy forward through consistent innovation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the thinking and decision-making process behind AML investigations, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
    Review transactional profiles in order to detect possible offences, reviewing documentation and information as part of the investigation to escalate if needed, all based on red flags.

    Role

    TASKS:

    • Intelligence work for enhanced due diligence applied to medium and high-risk clients and potentially suspicious activity (strong analysis, research and problem-solving skills).
    • Requesting, archiving and processing information required for regulatory purposes.
    • Completing formats for:
    • Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), also preferably knowledge on Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) through USA FinCEN's BSA E-Filing platform.
    • Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR), also preferably knowledge on Electronic Funds Transfer Reports - both Outgoing and Incoming (EFTO and EFTI), and Large Cash Transaction Reports (LCTR) through Canada FinTRAC's F2R platform.
    • Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) through the UK National Crime Agency's platform.
    • Drafting complementary narratives to be included in the mentioned types of reports.
    • Handling law enforcement inquiries and producing responsive information for them.
    • Assisting tasks during internal and external audits and examinations.
    • Producing work-related metrics and statistics.

    PROFILE:

    • Should be able to learn how to work with different platforms required for Compliance tasks in the MTS business line (mainly internal tools).
    • Should have a working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of the essential regulations, laws, and rules, such as BSA, PCMLTFA, and CNBV provisions related to regulatory reports.
    • Good communication skills are required to work with other compliance professionals, departments, regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
    • Reports directly to the FIU Team Lead.

    All About You
    • Advanced level of AML monitoring expertise, KYC, and/or Sanctions Screening
    • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
    • Deep understanding of complex transactional lifecycles within a financial enterprise.
    • Responsible, able to perform and manage times due to limited turnover time for reporting purposes, in addition to ongoing quality reviews.

    The ideal candidate for this position should have:
    • High attention to detail
    • Ability to work under multiple reporting lines
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, being able to multi/task, adhering to specific quality and productive guidelines.
    • Advanced research skills.
