    The Mastercard Software Engineering Internship Program in Portugal is a 10-week summer program designed for students who want hands-on experience building innovative, secure, and scalable technology solutions. Starting in June 2026, interns will work alongside our engineering teams to contribute to real-world projects across areas such as APIs, cloud technologies, distributed systems, cybersecurity, and full-stack development.

    As an intern, you will take on meaningful technical assignments that help develop your engineering capabilities while contributing directly to Mastercard's global technology ecosystem.

    Program Components:

    • Networking sessions and leadership speaker series
    • Volunteer initiatives and team-building activities

    Program Qualifications:

    • Graduation date of summer 2027
    • Available for a 10-week internship starting June 2026
    • Strong academic performance in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related technical fields
    • Interest in software development, problem-solving, and building high-quality technology solutions
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a global environment
    • Strong communication and analytical skills
