Position Overview:
The Financial Services arm of Mastercard's Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) is tasked with the mission to add value by delivering operational excellence, enhanced customer experiences, and focused business results.
The Senior Accountant, Accounting (Process Excellence) will be responsible for supporting process excellence within the accounting team. The candidate will support finance process transformation initiatives, manage projects, automate finance processes, and support stakeholder management.
Role & Responsibilities:
Process Transformation & Project Management
• Identify Opportunities: Continuously assess current finance processes to identify areas for improvement and transformation.
• Develop Strategies: Create and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall effectiveness of accounting processes.
• Change Management: Assist with change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes within the team.
• Track and Execute Projects: Track project progress through detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Identify potential issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
• Report and Communicate: Provide regular updates to manager and/or stakeholders on project status, milestones, and outcomes.
Finance Process Automation
• Evaluate Tools and Technologies: Assess and recommend automation tools and technologies that can streamline accounting processes.
• Implement Solutions: Oversee the implementation of automation solutions, ensuring they are integrated seamlessly into existing workflows.
• Train and Support: Provide training and support to team members on new automation tools and processes.
All About You:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in finance process transformation, project management, or a similar role.
