About the Role

Dandy is hiring an Engineering Manager to join our rapidly scaling technology organization. Engineering Managers at Dandy drive the delivery and rollout of industry-defining products and experiences for our customers. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with our world class engineering and business teams (staffed with alums of Facebook, Google, Apple, Airbnb, Uber, and more) to drive step-function changes in both growth and experience.

What You'll Do

• Build and lead successful engineering teams at Dandy while demonstrating commitment to hiring great talent
• Drive the roadmap and priorities for your team, while ensuring your team deeply understands the company's vision and strategic priorities
• Drive team velocity while setting clear expectations for team members
• Manage external stakeholders and dependencies to keep the team focused on achieving important goals
• Develop engineers on the team, helping them advance in their careers
• Drive a collaborative culture within engineering, while also holding team members to high engineering standards
• Technical leadership: be a gatekeeper for a high code quality bar, architectural designs, and pragmatic vs. long-term approaches

What We're Looking For

• You have 2+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role managing individuals on teams
• You have a history of building teams, and understand how to identify and close top engineering talent
• You've managed teams that have shipped and managed critical software
• You are curious and a natural learner - leading effectively at Dandy will involve learning a ton about domain-specific topics in dentistry
• You have experience driving projects and initiatives across cross-functional domains while setting clear expectations and direction for all stakeholders involved
• You have a history of encouraging a healthy interplay of ambition and collaboration in your teams
• You will contribute to a healthy and balanced culture that reflects Dandy's values
• You practice servant leadership and aren't afraid to dive deep when necessary to get the job done with your team
